Honey (aka Ronni)

We adopted "Ronni" in March....  We are big advocates of "pound pups". Our daughters are Grace (age 9) and Lyndsey (age 6), and they both want to have jobs helping animals when they grow up. We love having "Honey" (aka Ronni) in our family! ... we all love her very much! Thank you for rescuing her for us!

Thank you!

Molly

Things are going very well for us. We go to off-leash hours in the park every night and the last two nights she actually played with other dogs. She's currently still pretty overwhelmed by her surroundings and all the dogs and people, but she does show marked improvement each time we go out. We've been going on jogs every afternoon and she does great (makes me look bad, I'm all out of breath). We've started on fetching objects and have had some minimal success. Each day she shows a little more personality and a little more comfort with her new environment. Her crate training is working very well and I'm starting to learn to read her behavior better to know when she's tired/wired/etc. In any case, during the afternoon she's taken to this hilarious pose of stretching out on my bed while I'm working on the computer.

Rae

Just letting you know that Rae is doing fine. Growing like a weed and a very happy girl. She is especially attached to Neil. He has that way with all animals. The man should have been a vet!

Piglet (left, with Lulu)

Piglet (although we call her Piggit more now :) really is the sweetest little girl, and I just love her. She has really adapted well and is doing great - her and Lulu love each other.

Noah and his Bear

He is doing amazingly well. He is a "gentle giant". We just love him to death!!! He is so patient with my 6 year old and his friends as they wrestle and pull on him. People at the park think he is so beautiful and cannot believe how obedient he is. I let him run off the leash and I only have to call him once and clap and he comes right back to me. On the leash, if I stop to talk to someone, he simply sits until I am ready to go. We are so lucky to have found him and we thank you so much for bringing him into our lives. He truly is a treasure.

Rose

Just wanted to let you know that Rose had a wonderful first night and morning! :) Last night, she snuggled right in with Nick and me, & this morning, we ALL ended up in bed with her and took turns giving her belly rubs! ha! She is a little princess! She has stolen all of our hearts! Madison keeps saying, "She's really our puppy, Mommy? We really get to keep her forever?" :)
We are more thankful for your decision of choosing us for Rose's new home each and every day! I can honestly say that I have never loved or been more attached to any animal in my entire life! ha! She is such a priceless addition to our family and she is treated like royalty around here, as she should be! :) She's our little princess! :)

THANK YOU a million times over! :)

Wintergreen (right)

...Winter has been a darling, as you would suspect. He's well acclimated to our pack, and though at first I had some concern for his relationship with our Maggie, he demanded she love him, and so she does...they've made romp-around time a twice-daily play date! J ... They share toys and have no issues with food. She realizes he's here to stay, and she's just as happy with that as she ever was alone.

Bode

Bode just this week seems to have really grown! We weighed him at the vet and he was at 41lbs! His personality is also coming out. We have laughed at some of his facial expressions and he still loves his squeeky toys and LOVES sticks from outside… please know how very happy we are to have Mr. Bode. The house is alive again and he has gained a huge fan club! He already has brought both of us much happiness!

You bring such joy not only to families but to the animals as well! Thank you for all your love and help you give to these beautiful animals.

Hello! We are absolutely loving having Hadley in our home! We have told many many people about your organization since she came to her new home. She is doing great we think. Such a snuggler with all of us!

Let me brag on our smart Hadley!!

When we were in church Sunday, our 20 yr. old daughter began to have a panic attack. This is a new issue with our college daughter and she has muscle spasms when it happens. We got her out of church and home quickly. When she got in bed, her legs were still trembling. These usually last 2-3 hrs. Hadley came & put her paws up on the side of her bed, wanting up there with Kaitlin. She immediately laid on Kaitlin's legs...which she normally wouldn't do. She usually lays at the foot of the bed. Within a few minutes, Kaitlin's spasms were completely gone!!!! Hadley's a therapy puppy!!!!! After the spasms stopped, Hadley stayed right up against Kaitlin's legs, no matter what position she was in. If she moved, Hadley moved and snuggled right up against her legs.

How 'bout that for a rescue dog!!!

millie2.JPG

Myley (aka Millie)

We changed the vowel sound in her name so we are calling her Myley (Mile-ee). Our nine year old liked the Hanna Montana connection. She slept through the night again last night and did not fuss too much at bed time. She has a sweet disposition and has fit into the family dynamic nicely. She and Pepper are becoming buddies. Potty training is a theme this weekend since our son is going through it also. She is very smart and she may be trained before Andrew. I will send updates randomly. Thanks.

Kaia (aka Oreo, right)

Here is Kaia (Oreo) with her brother Buster running errands,  she is doing great!  She's really come out of her shell and is a wild woman until she tires herself out.  She loves to sleep in a pile of pillows on the couch and sleeps in a pile of pillows on the bed too...she's already a tad bit spoiled.  But who cares.

Sonny

Sonny has passed the canine good citizen test and is now working toward being a therapy dog... he is already going into hospitals and nursing homes in the area and people love him to death, he just sits there and lets them pet him for as long as they want to. He is going to take the final test in another month but I don't see any problem with passing .

Max getting his teeth brushed.
What can I say about Max but he continues to be the best dog ever. He has learned to bring his leash to Steve or I if he wants to go outside... He loves to have his teeth brushed but only at the bathroom sink like Steve and I brush ours...if we could just teach him to swish and spit.

Beau is quite ornery. I just love him. Little Missy has made a nice adjustment. She is more energetic and wants her fill of attention from me.

Kolby (with Jimmy & Tori)

Kolby is doing much better. He was very sad, wouldn't eat anything. I was really heartbroken for him. He is much happier today, eating and playing with his toys. He is a very good boy, very sweet and calm. Sad as he was,he learned tricks! He is so smart! He has learned "sit" "stay" and "down" in one week! He has also done very well with housetraining. He hasn't had an accident in 3 days. He woke me up this morning about 5:30,to "tell" me he had to go. He sleeps next to my side of the bed at night and is loose except when I go to work. I have him in his crate, which he loves, he's always in there sleeping with door open.

Tate (aka Yoda)

I logged into my Facebook account tonight and saw your name as someone suggested for me to become friends with. I don't know if you will remember me or him, but I adopted a chocolate lab mix puppy named Yoda in August 2007. Well....I named him the handsome boy Tate, and I cannot imagine life without him!  We moved to Tampa, FL for my first big-girl job after I graduated in May 2008. He's never far from his Nylabone.  He loves having his belly scratched and sometimes falls asleep on his back w/ his feet in the air ;) He looks right into your face when talking to him and shows so many different emotions that I swear one day he will talk back. He watches TV and sometimes even runs up to the screen if he sees another dog on there. I could go on and on and on....but I really just want to say thank you for what you do. After I had him for about a month, my mom sent a tag to put on his collar that said "I rescued my human", and it could not be more true.
All of the work you do makes such a difference in the lives of all of the animals you save as well as the humans they save.  Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Kayla (aka Chamios)

I just wanted to give you an update on Kayla. She is getting big, but not heavier. She is able to go to the dog park now. She absolutely had a ball. She played with every dog and said hello to just about every person. She starts puppy school this Saturday. I can't tell you how happy I am to have her here, she is a joy! She is so comical.  Everywhere we take her, people literally get out of their cars to say hello to her, and say how cute she is. Even an EMT driver got out of the ambulance to say hi. It is so funny. Of course Kayla loves the attention and is such a ham. WE LOVE HER!!!

Bullet (with Midnight)

We adopted Bullet 8-1-2009 when he was 11 weeks old. He was such a happy puppy and very out going. Now he is 15 weeks old and so big. He is fully potty trained. He walks right with us on the leash and he is the calmest puppy I have ever seen. He knows sit very well and is very easy when he gets his treats. He is such a joy to have in our family and we are so glad you sent him our way. Thanks again.
