Events 2009

OOTW was invited to Autumn Fest and Dedication
of the new Educational Center and Spay/Neuter Clinic at Animal Village Saturday, October 31st, HALLOWEEN! It was a
great event and the facility is outstanding! Manager Tracey Roark and staff have worked hard to make this facility the shining
example of animal shelters and to educate children about the treatment of animals. Little Rock Mayor Mark Stodola was present
to cut the ribbon, along with City Manager Bruce Moore & City Director Joan Adcock. State Representative Pam Adcock made
an announcement about a new license plate for purchase that will be available to support rescues and shelters!

BOW WOWIE!!! What a beautiful Sunday afternoon
it turned out to be for our generous and compassionate friend, Kathy Webb, AR State Representative and Owner of Lily's DimSum ThenSome Restaurant, who
hosted her own birthday
party to benefit OOTW and FURR(Feline Urban Rescue & Rehome).
We were gifted in a BIG way since nearly 200
folks attended, and INSTEAD of gifts for her, Kathy requested that guests bring bags of dog or cat food for OOTW & FURR.
What a wonderful gesture for us to be the recipient of all these "gifts"!
Lots of OOTW
volunteers attended, many of whom brought foster dogs to show. We met so many wonderful people, those who care about Kathy
and about animals in need, too! A few special guests that came, included our Governor, Mike Beebee and his sweet wife, Ginger. Lt.
Governor Bill Halter and his family, and our Little Rock Mayor, Mark Stodola! It
was a fabulous party and it was an opportunity for folks to learn more about OOTW.
We are VERY GRATEFUL
for the generosity of all those who donated dog food in Kathy's honor for us to distribute to dogs in need. It
took a few SUVs to haul it off and we will be giving this food to families in need who have taken in abandoned or stray
dogs and to OOTW foster families. THANKS SO MUCH TO ALL!
THANK
YOU & HAPPY BIRTHDAY, KATHY! OOTW LOVES YOU!

A HUGE THANK YOU to the BEST volunteers & the dogs who attended, Pam, Kathy B, Kathy M., Carol, Penni, Sarah,
Lori N., Shawn, Mark, Thomas, Susan N., Melissa, Gary, Lisa R., Sherry, Kyle, Lizzie, Charlotte, Yoyo, Scooter, Dawny, Melanie,
Josie, Petunia, Ralphie, Bob, Capra & Domino!! (Hope we haven't missed anyone)

The Kitty Microchip Clinic on Sept. 20th was a success, mostly due
to our ever faithful FURR/OOTW volunteers and to Dr. Cole Bierbaum. Although we would have liked more, we made 24 cats safer,
hopefully folks who own cats will learn about the new cat ordinance and have their cats microchipped in the future. Thanks
to Susan L., Susan M., Kathy B., Kathy M., Shawn, Susan N., Carolyn, Matthew, Diana, Kyle, Sarah, Penni and Colleen, the manager
of Premium Pet Products for making this possible!
